Chapter 4 – Doctrinal Impurity

According to Jones, “Revival, above everything else, is a glorification of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is the restoration of him to the centre of the life of the Church.” What’s your definition of revival?

Chapter 5 – Defective Orthodoxy

Jones talks about the how contentiousness is of the devil. “It does not matter what you say about the glory of God and Christ’s blood, he will say, ‘Ah, but you have not emphasised this,’ – something that he is particularly interested in, and which is not absolutely essential to salvation.” What are components that are absolutely essential to salvation?

Chapter 6 – Dead Orthodoxy

Jones talks about too much emotionalism and fear of emotionalism both being hindrances to revival. What can you do to make sure your excitement and emotions are truly coming from the glory and presence of God?

Chapter 7 – Spiritual Inertia

Jones states, “A lack of burden for the souls of the lost, then leads to a lack of really urgent prayer.” Please comment on this statement.
